Resistance existed even in the prisons, penitentiaries, and concentration camps of the »Third Reich.« Organization of solidarity, aid for the other comrades, and concern for pure survival stood here in the foreground. The inmates tried to improve the inhuman conditions created by the SS. But political discussions as well as educational and cultural activities were also carried out, escape attempts were supported, and other illegal activities were performed.
